Sashiko Jacket in Dark Navy
Lavenham has once again partnered with British menswear designer Nicholas Daley to create a capsule that pays homage to roots reggae legend Peter Tosh, and that highlights the synergy between music and martial arts during the 1970’s. Channelling Nicholas’ fascination with Japanese skill and craftmanship, the brand has included traditional Japanese ‘sashiko’ quilting, contrasting heritage and modern fabrics and referencing military and karategi silhouettes worn by Peter Tosh.
Featuring a ribbed collar, the jacket is quilted in ‘sashiko’ pattern traditionally used in Japanese workwear and martial arts styles. Juxtaposing traditional dry wax cotton with a technical nylon from Japan, the jacket is mesh lined, and features numerous pockets on the front, and a zip fastening. With lightweight wadding ideal for the warmer months of the year.
